Join us for a FREE musical open house for children 8 and under! At a MacPhail Free Family Music Series event, you can enjoy sample music classes for children, instrument exploration, arts and crafts and a live performance by a featured guest – with snacks and refreshments!
Featured Performers: MacPhail faculty, Peter and the WolfPeter and the Wolf is a symphonic tale for children by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev. It’s a one-movement narrated story with the characters being represented by a different instrument of the orchestra. This arrangement is based on the original one-piano arrangement made by the composer. In the spring, our Musical Trolley students will learn the tale of Peter and the Wolf as an introduction to all of the Orchestral Instruments!MacPhail Faculty Performers:
