Bethlehem Child Care Center

School Age Program

We offer before and after school care for children in grades K – 5. BCCC provides a safe and stimulating environment while promoting opportunities for children to explore and develop their many interests. Some of these areas include art, drama, card and board games, Legos, sewing, knitting, electric circuits, building, reading, music, technology, and homework. Children have opportunities to play both individually, and in groups. Each day children will play outside – as long as the wind chill is over 0ºF – either on our playground or nearby Cooper school.

It is very important to our staff to make positive and supportive relationships with the children. When children feel secure in their relationships, they learn trust, respect, and build a stronger self-esteem.

We’ve designed our school-age program to be one of the most flexible in the city. Here are some highlights:

• Opportunities for year-round before and after school child care for children grades K-5

• Options for care only during school release days (subject to availability)

• Options for care only during Christmas, spring and/or summer breaks (subject to availability)

• Bussing to and from provided by Minneapolis schools: Hiawatha, Howe, Dowling, and Seward.  Supervised pickup and drop off at our street corner

School Release Days and Holiday Breaks:

BCCC will provide care for K- 4th graders on a sign-up basis when school is not in session. We will follow guidelines/restrictions we have for COVID.  Typically we plan field trips and in-house experiences for those days. Examples of field trips include: exploring museums, swimming pools, local parks, bowling, ice skating, and behind-the-scenes tours of places like the Guthrie and Excel Center.  We have a variety of materials and open play space for children if we stay at BCCC.

Call or email us today to inquire about openings for before and/or after-school child care.
